Goan Students Win First Place at Reel2Road Competition

Goa Khabar:A team of students from the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism (MCJ) at St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa, has brought national recognition to Goa by securing first place in the Reel2Road Reel Making Competition, a nationwide contest focused on promoting road safety awareness. The creators were also felicitated by District Collector Ankit Yadav in recognition of this achievement.

Competing under the team name MCJ Filmmakers, the winning team comprised students Tanish Pangam, Mihir Ghotge, Chirag, and Jeremais Benaum, along with their faculty mentor Megan Fernandes.

The competition was organised by the Centre of Excellence for Road Safety (CoERS), IIT Madras, in collaboration with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH). It attracted 956 participants from across India, making the team’s achievement a significant milestone.
