Goa Khabar : Goa Forward Party (GFP) Vice President Dilip Prabhudesai has sharply criticized the BJP-led government for waiving a ₹2 crore electricity bill for a private Formula 4 event linked to a Chennai-based businessman. Prabhudesai pointed out the stark contrast in treatment, noting that while private organizers receive massive waivers, ordinary Goans face immediate penalties and power disconnections over unpaid utility bills.

According to the GFP, nearly ₹58.9 crore of public funds was spent on hosting this private event. The party has demanded that the government immediately clarify whether it received its promised 30% share of ticket revenues or provide a complete accounting of where the money went.

The Goa Forward Party has issued a 10-day deadline to the Chief Minister to publish a detailed White Paper on the expenditure and revenue of the event. GFP leaders warned that if the government fails to respond within the given timeframe, they will formally escalate the matter to the Vigilance Department to demand a full investigation.
