One arrested from Uttar Pradesh for viral Baga video
Goa Khabar : In connection with the viral video circulating on various social media
platform, wherein someone unknown men were allegedly seen soliciting with a woman near Titos lane Baga, the Goa Police Crime Branch have arrested one person from Uttar Pradesh.
Taking suo-moto cognizance of viral videos circulating on various social
media platform, wherein someone unknown men were alleged seen soliciting
with a women near Titos lane Baga. Crime Branch had registered an FIR u/s 75 and 79 of BNSS-2023 and Section 67 and 67-A of the IT Act 2000 for making unwelcome physical advances involving explicit sexual overtures towards a woman and demanding sexual favours and content involving sexually explicit material.
The Social Media Monitoring Cell Panjim found that the said videos was seen on YouTube channel Realduniya007 and also on facebook having ID Saurabh Sahni n/o Uttar Pradesh. Thereafter PRISM unit conducted technical analysis of evidences to locate the accused involved.
Further a team constituted by SP Crime proceeded to Lucknow UP and successfully traced Mr. Saurabh Sahni, age- 48 years and has been brought to Goa and placed him under arrest.
During interrogation Mr. Saurabh Sahni confessed of soliciting the girl for prostitution and recording the said video on 19 September- 2024 at 01.19 am at end of the Titos Lane, Baga and saved it into his hard disk, and uploaded in his YouTube channel by name Realduniya007 on 12/04/2026 in order to increase his subscribers for the channel. However seeing less views he uploaded the same video on his personal facebook ID having name Saurabh Sahni.
Accused Suarabh Sahni also confessed that he had not blurred/hidden the face
of victim before uploading the same on social media.
Crime Branch also successfully traced the victim girl in a video who is foreign national and recorded her statement. Investigation is in progress in tracing other co-accused which are seen in the video.
Entire investigation and operation was carried under supervision of SP Crime Rahul Gupta (IPS) assisted by SP Jivba Dalvi, PI Tushar Lotlikar and PSI Amin Naik of Crime Branch, Ribandar-Goa.
