“BJP cannot defeat us on schools and hospitals, so they orchestrated a fake case.” -Arvind Kejriwal
“Not A Single Rupee Of Illlict Money Was Used In Goa Elections, This Case Was Orchestrated Only To Satisfy “Satta Ki Hawas” Of Modi-Shah.” – Arvind Kejriwal
“The situation of Ponda is so bad, garbage on roads, sewage flowing in streets, broken infrastructure. BJP cannot fix this, but they can conspire to send Kejriwal to jail.” -Arvind Kejriwal
Goa Khabar:The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Goa unit organised a grand felicitation ceremony in Panaji to congratulate AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal following his discharge in the alleged liquor policy case. The event witnessed large participation from party leaders, volunteers and supporters from across Goa, celebrating what AAP termed as a historic victory of truth over a politically motivated conspiracy. A Felicitation ceremony was also help for AAP’s First Corporator, Jack Sukhija, after his win in CCP elections and Antonio Leao Fernandes gor winning a seat in Zilla Panchayat elections.
Addressing the gathering, Arvind Kejriwal expressed gratitude to party workers and the people, stating that the entire episode was an “agnipariksha” for AAP. He said that despite allegations of ₹100 crore corruption, no evidence was found and even a 600-page court order confirmed that there was not enough material to even begin a trial. He highlighted that several top AAP leaders, including Manish Sisodia, spent months in jail, yet none were found guilty.
Kejriwal alleged that the case was part of a larger conspiracy by the BJP leadership to destroy AAP’s growing influence. He stated that despite having power, money and central agencies, the BJP failed to defeat AAP politically and instead resorted to defamation and arrests. He further said that AAP’s work in education, healthcare and welfare—such as world-class schools, Mohalla Clinics, free electricity and public services in Delhi and Punjab—posed a challenge to BJP’s politics, which led to attempts to suppress the party.
Speaking about the situation in Goa, Kejriwal highlighted local issues in Ponda , stating that Ponda is facing serious civic problems with garbage-filled roads, dirty sewage in places like Curti, overflowing gutters and poor infrastructure. He criticised the BJP government for failing to address basic issues affecting people’s daily lives, alleging that instead of solving these problems, the focus remains on targeting political opponents. “If they think they can finish me politically, the only way left is to kill Kejriwal or prove themselves by doing more honest work than I have— because as long as I stand, I will keep fighting for honest politics and for the people.” – Arvind Kejriwal
AAP Goa Prabhari Atishi said that people across Goa celebrated the verdict as it proved the honesty of AAP leadership. She stated that allegations linking Goa elections to the so-called liquor scam were completely baseless and that party volunteers always stood firm in their belief that AAP has never misused public money. She also alleged that while AAP leaders faced false cases, the wealth of several BJP leaders had grown significantly, raising serious questions about corruption.
AAP Goa State President Valmiki Naik termed the verdict a “victory of honest politics over desperate attempts of the power-hungry.” He said that Arvind Kejriwal’s journey—from leaving a prestigious IRS job to leading an anti-corruption movement and delivering governance reforms—proves his integrity. Naik added that the attempt to link Goa to the case was aimed at defaming AAP, but the court’s decision has exposed the conspiracy.
AAP MLA Cruz Silva said the verdict reaffirmed that truth can be delayed but never buried. He called the outcome a strong rebuttal to BJP’s propaganda and urged people to unite around AAP’s ideology of clean and accountable governance.
AAP MLA Venzy Viegas stated that AAP represents politics of hope, honesty and delivery. He alleged that BJP tried to malign AAP’s image and even attempted to lure leaders with offers of power, but the party remained united. He further said that AAP will continue to expose corruption and present an alternative model of governance focused on healthcare, education and infrastructure. He also emphasised that while AAP governments have delivered results in states they govern, Goa continues to suffer from neglect under BJP rule, citing issues like poor roads, sanitation and basic civic infrastructure.
The Aam Aadmi Party Goa unit reiterated that the verdict has strengthened its resolve to expand its movement for honest politics and people-centric governance, and expressed confidence that AAP will emerge as a strong alternative to BJP in Goa in the coming elections.
