Goa Khabar:FC Goa turned control into carnage as they dismantled Vasco SC 5-0 with a performance built on tempo precision and clinical execution.
The tone was set early. In the 10th minute Konsam Singh threaded a clever pass through the lines to Shawn Fernandes who took his chance with authority to open the scoring. FC Goa settled quickly monopolising possession and forcing Vasco to chase shadows for long spells.
The second arrived before the interval in unfortunate fashion for Vasco. A dangerous ball driven into the area by Shaikh Ismail caused panic at the back and Clarrie Almeida inadvertently diverted it into his own net under pressure. FC Goa went into halftime firmly in command at 2-0.

There was no let-up after the restart. In the 57th minute, Mervin Domnic Fernandes lifted a composed pass over the defence to Vellington Fernandes who found himself one-on-one and finished decisively to make it three.
Nine minutes later FC Goa sliced through again. Wesley D’Sa initiated the move with a long forward delivery that released Jovial Dias who squared intelligently for Shawn Fernandes to apply the finish and extend the advantage to 4-0.
The fifth underlined the gulf between the sides. Bryson Pereira switched play superbly to Shaikh Ismail and the forward drove his effort beyond the goalkeeper to complete the rout in the 73rd minute.
Bookings for Michael Silva and Sitroy Carvalho followed in the closing stages but the outcome had long been settled. FC Goa combined sharp movement, intelligent passing and ruthless finishing to seal a comprehensive 5-0 victory.
