- Government services delivered under one roof, enabling on-the-spot resolution of public grievances in Ponda, Goa
Goa Khabar : Sarkar Tumchya Dari programme in Ponda brought the entire government machinery under one roof, allowing citizens to access multiple services and get grievances resolved on the spot. The initiative reinforced the State Government’s commitment to citizen-centric governance and efficient service delivery.
Senior officials from various departments, including Mamlatdars, Deputy Collectors, Heads of Departments and Ministers, facilitated immediate decisions on ration cards, income and residence certificates, Aadhaar, social security schemes, housing applications, and other civic matters. Special counters were also set up to assist youth with apprenticeship programmes and graduates with practical work experience.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, said that Sarkar Tumchya Dari reflects the Government’s dedication to transparent and efficient governance. He highlighted that bringing Ministers, senior officers, and department heads together ensures faster decision-making and better coordination. CM Dr. Sawant also emphasised youth skill development, concessional loans for entrepreneurs, support for women beneficiaries, and assistance for farmers through Kisan Cards, Soil Health Cards, and Kisan Credit Cards.
During the programme, the 165 kWp Grid Solar PV Power Plant at Agri Bazar, Ponda, was virtually inaugurated, and certificates under Mhaje Ghar Yojana were distributed to beneficiaries. Dr. Sawant also underscored the Government’s focus on strengthening healthcare, infrastructure, cleanliness, and waste management in line with the national vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
The programme was attended by Minister for Water Resources, Co-operation and Institute of Public Assistance Subhash Shirodkar; Minister for Power and New & Renewable Energy Sudin Dhavalikar; MLA of Priol Constituency Govind Gaude; Chairperson, Ponda Municipal Council Virendra Dhavalikar; Chairman of Rajiv Gandhi Kala Mandir Ritesh Ravi Naik; Vice Chairperson of Ponda Municipal Council Deepa Shantaram Kolvenkar; Chief Secretary of Goa Dr. V. Candavelou, Collector & District Magistrate, South Goa IAS Ms. Egna Cleetus, along with Councillors of the Ponda Municipal Council and senior officials.
