The SALT team  arranged a Hard Hat Party Exclusively for Goan Media Fraternity to give them the experience and a sneak peak of the authentic and variety of food served  at SALT before opening it’s door for the general public.

In conversation with media, Kareena Khawani  & Kanika Tolani  – A Women Restaurateurs ,Gautam Khawani – Promoter ,  Spoke how ‘ Salt’ is  going to make a difference to Hospitality  Industry and would give a boost to tourism  in Goa.

Its proximity to Baga beach as well as the Saturday night market makes it an ideal spot for travellers and tourists and to give best of experience, quality food and service to the travellers and the locals.

Being an women entrepreneurs they intend to encourage the local women talents who are good at making the authentic and flavorful masalas. Through media Kareena also  invited more locals  to come forward and join hands with them.

Drawing inspiration from the local salt farmers, this quint beautiful restaurant is still surrounded by salt farmers who farm salt on a day to day basis. Also salt being the significant ingredient of any form of cooking without which any food would be insipid hence the name SALT was derived.

SALT  is located in Arpora , Simvaddo , near club cubana, taking the fine dining experience to the next level. With Mutlti Cuisine in its folio which includes Indian , Goan , Italian & Chinese ,  the menu here comprises of the classics! The ambiance is neat as well as rustic giving it an laid back experience in old Goan Way. The service is the main focus here. Even the music has been chosen to suit the ambiance.

Kareena Khawani, a restaurateur, a proponent of Indian cuisine with her unique Italian twist, she is a free spirit who loves to make people happy. As a woman restaurateur, still a rarity in this industry, Kareena is a proud owner of 2 restaurants supported by her family in business.

In 1999, she passed out of Mumbai University and within a span of 1 year; she was the pioneer in   opening very first pizza restaurant in Mumbai, Pronto.
