Goan businessmen identify business opportunities on four-nation tour
Goa Khabar: Vibrant Goa (VG) recently led a 10-member Goan business delegation on a
successful, four-nation tour of South East Asia.
This tour is part of the on-going preparations for the Vibrant Goa-Global Expo and Summit
2019 (VG-GES 2019) scheduled to be held at the Shyama Prasad Mukerji stadium in Panaji
between October 17-19 this year.
The tour comprised a total of sixty five B2B meetings along with eight, B2G meetings for
direct business between the ten-member Goan business delegation and the South East Asian
companies in the four countries of Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand and Singapore.
In Kuala Lumpur, The VG Team interacted with forty companies in business meetings
organized by Indian high commission jointly with Kuala Lumpur Malay Chamber of
Commerce and Kuala Lumpur Selangor India Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
In Ho Chi Minh City, The VG Team had a business interaction with members of Vietnam
Chamber of Commerce and Industry which was graced by Dr K Srikar Reddy, Consul
General of India, HO Chi Minh City.
Likewise in Hanoi too, the VG Team tasted success, as they interacted with 150 members of
BNI Hanoi followed by meetings with InCham – Indian Chamber of Commerce in Hanoi and
Vietnam Chamber of Commerce in Hanoi.
In Bangkok, The VG Team addressed seventy Thai Companies in a business meeting
organized by the Indian Embassy with India Thai Chamber of Commerce and Thailand India
Business Council. Gavin Dias, general manager, GTDC also made a presentation on Goan
Tourism to 100 Tour Operators and Airline Companies the same evening.
In Singapore, The VG team had interactive sessions with Singapore Business Federation,
Singapore Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Singapore India Chamber of Commerce &
Business delegations from all four nations have confirmed their attendance at the VG-GES
2019 in Goa.
The Goan business delegation was extremely happy with this tour as was evident from their
Rasik Naik, Chairman Organising Committee -Vibrant Goa said, “I was amazed to see the
dedication to succeed among our Goan entrepreneurs. They worked very hard in all multiple
B2B and B2G meetings that we had organised on the tour.”
Jayesh Raikar, Director, Goldy Group of Companies said, “I was able to identify hidden
business opportunities. One to one meetings scheduled with Far-East entrepreneurs have
opened up multiple avenues for trade and expansion.”

got many business improvement ideas as well as business leads for exports.”

The Vibrant Goa-Global Expo and Summit 2019 (VG-GES 2019) which is being held in Goa
between October 17-19 this year is organized by Vibrant Goa in partnership with the Goa
Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), Global Network, BNI, the Government of Goa
and the Niti Ayog. It is also supported by various industry organisations in Goa besides the
National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC).
