The Panaji Obstetrics and Gynecological Society & Goa Medical College, organised a Live Workshop and a Conference


The Panaji Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society in association with Goa Medical
College have successfully organised their first annual conference in Goa.
Chief Minister of Goa,  Manohar Parrikar, inaugurated the conference at Hotel
Fidalgo and released the souvenir. Organising Co-chairperson Dr. Kedar Padte
welcomed the gathering and expressed his gratitude to all the faculty and delegates
of the conference.
The Dean of Goa Medical College Dr. Pradeep Naik, Dr. Guruprasad Pednekar
(President, Panaji OBGYN Society), Organising Secretary Dr. Vikram Dukle & Dr. Ajit
Nagarsenkar were also present for the ceremony.
The conference highlight was the Live Laparoscopic Surgery Workshop by Dr.
Shailesh Puntambekar, who has to his credit of doing India’s first uterine transplant.
He was felicitated at the hands of  Chief Minister of Goa. Dr. Ankush Desai,
Endocrinologist of Goa Medical College was also felicitated.
The Chief Minister in his speech congratulated the Organising committee of the
conference and Dr. Shailesh Puntambekar for his incredible achievements.
Dr. Vikram Dukle proposed the vote of thanks.
Padma Shri Dr. V Mohan, Dr. Sunil Mishra, Dr. Ankush Desai, Dr. Yashdeep Gupta
presented their orations on Gestational Diabetes Management. Dr. Pankaj Desai,
spoke about new concepts in Managing Complications in LSCS and Dr. Ajit Patil also
provided his valuable inputs.
Dr. Abhijit Kamat, Dr. Sajal Dhond & Dr. Rupa Padwalkar were part of organising
team committee of the Panaji Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society who handled
various responsibilities for the event.
The society looks forward to have similar conferences ahead, and appeals to the
medical gynaecological fraternity to associate and participate in the various
programs of the organisation.
