Benaulim: Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Goa celebrated their Annual Cake Mixing Ceremony
with much pomp and gaiety to reflect the spirit of the season. An enthusiastic crowd of in-house guests,
children, staff and employees of the resort partook in the cake mixing process.
The ingredients for the mix comprised a colossal spread of assorted nuts, rich dry fruits and spices like
cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg with generous amounts of liquor and spirits. This marinated assortment of
dry fruits is used while baking the traditional Christmas Plum Cakes and Puddings in the following year. Yes,
these fruits are soaked for a whole year. The longer the mix is kept for, the tastier will be the cake.
Several pairs of hands worked through the evening, mixing the colourful mass of nuts and fruits amidst an
aromatic and festive ambience accompanied with melodious carols and delicious bites.
As the sun set in the picturesque backdrop of Benaulim beach, Vincent Ramos who is Area Director – Taj Goa and
General Manager – Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Goa switched on the power house of the resort. Thus, lighting up the
Christmas décor across the resort and performing the traditional Christmas Tree lighting.
The event saw memorable moments, beautiful smiles and the true spirit of the joyous festival – Christmas!
