Reacting to the Public Notice issued by Village Panchayat of Tivim informing Citizens to file objections and suggestions pertaining to allotment of Communidade Land for IPB approved project, Amarnath Panjikar said that another Land Ghotala is in the making and has appealed to the people to lodge strong objection against the said allotment.<\/div>\n

It has been notified for the information of Public by Village Panchayat of Tivim that M\/s. World Peace University, Maharashtra Academy of Engineering and Educational Research’s MIT Group of Institutions has requested approval from Goa Investment Promotion and Facilitation Board (Goa-IPB) to set up a State Private University Offering wide range of courses on Engineering, Marine Engineering, Medical Sciences, Management Studies, Arts, Journalism, Public Policy etc at Tivim, stated Amarnath Panjikar.<\/div>\n

The notice further mentions that the Goa-IPB has decided to grant in- principle approval to M\/s. World Peace University and recommend for notification of Survey no.88\/1 (part) admeasuring 2 lakh sq.mts at Tivim. Bardez, Goa belonging to the Communidade of Tivim, as Investment Promotion area for the purpose of setting up a private university offering wide range of courses on on Engineering, Marine Engineering, Medical Sciences, Management Studies, Arts, Journalism, Public Policy etc., pointed Amarnath Panjikar.<\/div>\n

Last month I had urged the Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant to come clean on Employment Opportunites, Jobs and other Educational Benefits for Goans from National Educational Institutions setup in Goa like IIT, NIT, BITS Pilani, GIM etc. Till date, CM Dr. Pramod Sawant has not revealed any data. This shows that BJP Government is scared to make the information public, charged Amarnath Panjikar.<\/div>\n

Government must make public the Detailed Project Report of any project to which huge land in allotted by Government and the said DPR should clearly mention of benefits to Goans.
