While many capable clubs were available to replace the team in the Group, the Government of Meghalaya suggested the inclusion of Rangdajied United FC (RUFC), which was welcomed by the Durand Cup Organising Committee.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0Government\u00a0of\u00a0Meghalaya\u00a0has\u00a0been\u00a0involved\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0promotion\u00a0of\u00a0local\u00a0football\u00a0talent\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0State\u00a0and\u00a0have\u00a0supported\u00a0the\u00a0decision-making\u00a0process\u00a0to\u00a0include\u00a0RUFC.\u00a0The\u00a0football\u00a0fraternity\u00a0of\u00a0Meghalaya\u00a0are\u00a0excited\u00a0at\u00a0the\u00a0prospect\u00a0of\u00a0seeing\u00a0more\u00a0Meghalaya\u00a0Footballers\u00a0compete\u00a0against\u00a0national level teams.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0first\u00a0game\u00a0of\u00a0Rangdajied\u00a0United\u00a0FC\u00a0will\u00a0be\u00a0against\u00a0FC\u00a0Goa\u00a0on\u00a0Monday,\u00a0the\u00a05<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0of\u00a0August,\u00a02024\u00a0at\u00a07\u00a0pm.\u00a0Ticket\u00a0Sales\u00a0will\u00a0be\u00a0released\u00a0shortly,\u00a0and\u00a0will\u00a0be\u00a0on\u00a0sale\u00a0at\u00a0the\u00a0Box\u00a0Office\u00a0near\u00a0Golf\u00a0Links on the day of the match.<\/p>\n<p>The Honourable Minister i\/c, Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Meghalaya, was pleased to see this inclusion, commenting, \u201cIt is a matter of great pride for Meghalaya to have two local teams play in the Durand Cup.
