{"id":95029,"date":"2024-07-22T17:55:34","date_gmt":"2024-07-22T12:25:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/?p=95029"},"modified":"2024-07-22T17:55:34","modified_gmt":"2024-07-22T12:25:34","slug":"serendipity-out-about-2024-brings-theatre-and-art-to-community-centres-orphanages-govt-schools-old-age-homes-in-goa-to-make-the-arts-more-inclusive-accessible-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/?p=95029","title":{"rendered":"Serendipity out &#038; about 2024 brings theatre and art to community centres, orphanages, govt. schools, old age homes in Goa\u00a0to make the arts more inclusive, accessible\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><strong><em>The second edition of \u2018Serendipity Out and About 2024\u2019 will bring theatre in regional languages to the children and people of Goa.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>The performances at the Bastora Panchayat and Community Hall (August 4) and Piedade Youth Association Club House, Divar (August 5) are open to the public.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Goa Khabar : <\/strong>South Asia\u2019s largest multidisciplinary arts festival, Serendipity Arts Festival (SAF) 2024, is all set to bring the magic of theatre and art\u00a0 to 19 orphanages, government schools, old-age homes and community centres across Goa \u2013 from Bastora in North Goa all the way to Canacona in South Goa \u2013 through the second edition of its immersive \u2018Serendipity Out and About\u2019 programme.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSerendipity Out and About is a way to expand the Serendipity Arts family beyond the city of Panaji, with this year\u2019s edition focusing on making the arts inclusive, accessible to all, especially those who, for various reasons, are unable to attend the Festival\u2019s main edition in December in Panaji,\u201d said Quasar Thakore Padamsee, co-curator for Serendipity Out and About 2024 and SAF 2024\u2019s co-curator for the Theatre discipline.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-95030\" src=\"https:\/\/goakhabar-com.preview.jikut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Image-2-2-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"407\" height=\"305\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Image-2-2-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Image-2-2-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Image-2-2.jpg 945w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 407px) 100vw, 407px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The vibrant performance \u2018<em>Lavani Ke Rang\u2019<\/em>\u00a0written and directed by Mumbai-based director, theatre producer Bhushan Korgaonkar, at two venues \u2014 the Bastora Panchayat and Community Hall on August 4 and the Piedade Youth Association Club House, Divar on August 5 \u2014 is open to the public. The performance, in Hindi and Marathi, is a celebration of the lives of traditional Sangeet Bari Lavani artists from the perspective of a veteran Lavani theatre performer.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-95031\" src=\"https:\/\/goakhabar-com.preview.jikut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Orphan1-242x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"496\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Orphan1-242x300.jpg 242w, https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Orphan1.jpg 537w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Sananda Mukhopadhyaya, Serendipity Out and About 2024 co-curator who has curated the programming for the children in schools and orphanages\u2019 section , have put together four performances \u2013\u00a0<em>Machher Jhol<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Gubu Gubu<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Sa Pa Re Sa Pa Sa<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Hanv Gara Asa<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 with corresponding workshops at four government schools and six orphanages.
