Reacting to the Invitation issued by Government of “Chieftains Uprising Commemoration Day” to be observed on Monday 15th July 2024 at Cuncolim, Assiz Noronha slammed the BJP Government for playing politics at such functions.<\/div>\n

It is the duty of the Government to include speeches of Local MLAs during Government Functions organised in various Constituencies. Incidentally, our MLA is also Leader of Opposition. BJP Government is afraid to listen to truth which is bitter and hence did not include Yuri Alemao’s address during the function, said Assis Noronha.<\/div>\n

It is a shame that Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant puts his photo on the front page of the Invitation Card, but finds no time to attend the Function. This shows the true face of BJP over its claim on Patriotism and Nationalism, said Assis Noronha.<\/div>\n

BJP remembers days of Historic Importance only during Election Season.\u00a0 Government has failed to Refurbish the Chieftains Memorial which was last renovated by former Congress Minister Joaquim Alemao. Despite repeated requests made by our MLA, Government has ignored taking steps to notify the Memorial as “Place of Historic Importance”, said Assis Noronha.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
