Goa Kahabar: Goa government-appointed lifesaving agency, Drishti Marine, on Thursday conducted a live demonstration of its artificial intelligence-driven life-saving platforms and a rescue dog-squad drill at Miramar beach for a delegation of Mumbai-based Australian consular officials.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The delegation, led by Australian Consul General (Mumbai) Paul Murphy, comprised consul Kanta Das and economic diplomacy and research official Garima Shewkani, who interacted with Drishti Marine\u2019s lifesavers during their visit to Miramar beach, while also witnessing the rescue demo interventions by the agency\u2019s AI-driven platforms AURUS and TRITON and the PAW Squad, a dog squad that is being developed for rescue operations. The demonstration drew critical appreciation from the Australian delegation.<\/p>\n

Navin Awasthi, CEO, Drishti Marine, gave Murphy an in-depth insight into Drishti Marine\u2019s operations, stating, \u201cDrishti Marine\u2019s efficient and effective drowning prevention and lifesaving method of operation in Goa was showcased to the Australian delegation during its visit to Miramar beach. The demonstration focused on our innovative beach safety initiatives like the PAW Squad and AI bots. Mr. Murphy\u2019s visit provided a confidence boost to our lifesavers, who are at the forefront of the agency\u2019s lifesaving efforts.\u201d<\/p>\n

Impressed by the in-depth demonstration, Murphy took to the social media platform \u2018X\u2019 to laud the innovative methods adopted by Drishti Marine to save lives off Goa\u2019s coastline.<\/p>\n

The Consul General in his tweet also said that Australia has worked with Drishti Marine\u2019s \u201c450-strong\u00a0\"\ud83c\uddee\ud83c\uddf3\"\u00a0(Indian) lifesaver force by sharing expertise from\u00a0\"\ud83c\udde6\ud83c\uddfa\"\u2019s renowned @SLSAustralia.\u201d<\/p>\n

The consular official was referring to Drishti Marine\u2019s participation in the World Conference on Drowning Prevention, hosted by the World Health Organisation (WHO), the United Nations (UN) and co-hosted by the\u00a0Royal Life Saving Society \u2013 Australia (RLSS) and Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA)\u00a0that took place in Perth, Australia, in December, last year.\u00a0 At the international conference, Drishti Marine had showcased its rescue efforts in Goa, along with its technology-enabled platforms, spotlighting the state as a pioneer in drowning operations in India.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
