{"id":93801,"date":"2024-05-29T11:20:34","date_gmt":"2024-05-29T05:50:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/?p=93801"},"modified":"2024-05-29T11:20:34","modified_gmt":"2024-05-29T05:50:34","slug":"kcca-and-kamaxi-skills-students-showcase-innovative-cashew-based-dishes-at-cashew-fest-goa-2024-season-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/?p=93801","title":{"rendered":"KCCA and Kamaxi Skills students showcase innovative cashew-based dishes at Cashew Fest Goa 2024 Season 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>~ Students of Kamaxi College of Culinary Arts (KCCA), Verna, and Kamaxi Skills prepared innovative cashew-based menus at the FIERCE Kitchens stall at the Cashew Fest Goa 2024 Season 2.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>~ The students prepared both an innovative savoury menu and a pastry menu from the cashew fruit and nut.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Goa Khabar:<\/strong> With the humble cashew taking centre-stage at the recently concluded second edition of the Cashew Fest Goa 2024 Season 2, students of Kamaxi College of Culinary Arts (KCCA) and Kamaxi Skills, the Verna-based Group\u2019s skill development initiative, showcased their culinary prowess in crafting innovative savoury and pastry menus featuring the multi-dimensional tropical fruit, including a unique cashew-based sorpotel.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Displaying their culinary innovation skills through two stalls \u2013 one focused on the savoury or hot kitchen and the other on the dessert or cold kitchen \u2013 managed by FIERCE Kitchens, Kamaxi Group\u2019s culinary incubator fostering entrepreneurship in the food and beverage industry, the culinary students, as well as other culinary entrepreneurs, integrated the cashew, from the fruit to the nut, into their dishes in diverse ways.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-93742\" src=\"https:\/\/goakhabar-com.preview.jikut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/25.05-1-285x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"285\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/25.05-1-285x300.jpg 285w, https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/25.05-1.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 285px) 100vw, 285px\" \/><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cOur students have emphasised utilising the cashew fruit to concoct different dishes and drinks. Our\u00a0Ma\u00eetre Cuisinier\u00a0or Master Chef, Chef Patrick Albert, encourages students to innovate in the culinary space to hone their skills, which was showcased at the Cashew Fest Goa 2024 Season 2,\u201d said Parixit Pai Fondekar, founder, Kamaxi Group.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Fondekar added that the aim of this endeavour was \u201cto empower our students with the confidence and skill set to set up entrepreneurial ventures in the competitive culinary world, and our participation via FIERCE Kitchens in the Cashew Fest Goa 2024 Season 2 offered them a platform to cultivate their business instinct by observing other culinary entrepreneurs showcase their product.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The savoury menu comprised a bread bowl with customisable fillings of dry shrimp with cashew chicken and cashew as well as cashew fruit sorpotel prepared under the guidance of Chef Patrick.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_93803\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-93803\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-93803\" src=\"https:\/\/goakhabar-com.preview.jikut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Image-2-31-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Image-2-31-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Image-2-31.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-93803\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The cashew apple curd tart with cashew apple compote, conceptualised and created by the students of Kamaxi College of Culinary Arts, Verna, and Kamaxi Skills as part of the dessert menu, was a favourite among customers at the Cashew Fest Goa 2024 Season 2.<\/p><\/div>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Curated by the Bakery &amp; Pastry faculty at KCCA, the pastry menu was crafted utilising the cashew apple and cashew nut in different iterations to create delicious desserts.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cOur participation in the Cashew Fest Goa 2024 Season 2 allowed us to experience the A to Z of culinary entrepreneurship, right from creating our own innovative cashew-based menus and executing them under the guidance of our faculty chefs to customer interactions,\u201d said Shania Lobo, a student at KCCA.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The stalls were functional throughout the festival\u2019s three-day duration and were thronged by visitors, an encouraging factor for the KCCA and Kamaxi Skills students.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>~ Students of Kamaxi College of Culinary Arts (KCCA), Verna, and Kamaxi Skills prepared innovative cashew-based menus at the FIERCE Kitchens stall at the Cashew Fest Goa 2024 Season 2. ~ The students prepared both an innovative savoury menu and a pastry menu from the cashew fruit and nut.
