Goa Khabar: Congress on Wednesday advised BJP to retrospect their ideology and see whether corruption, hobnobbing defectors and extorting businessmen using electoral bonds was their motive.<\/strong><\/div>\n

GPCC General Secretary Vijay Bhike on Wednesday addressed a press conference in Congress House and accused BJP of looting public money.<\/div>\n

North Goa district President Virendra Shirodkar and St. Cruz block President John Nazareth were also present.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Hitting back at BJP, for questioning them about what they have done for the country and the state, Bhike asked the saffron party whether they fought for India\u2019s freedom and liberation of Goa.<\/div>\n

\u201cThey should not ask us what we have done for the nation and Goa. Everyone knows what our leaders have done to develop our country and state. BJP has turned its \u2018loyalty\u2019 to \u2018royalty\u2019 and ideology has hobnobbed to corruption, scams and welcoming defectors in the party to finish democracy,\u201d Bhike said.<\/div>\n

\u201cBJP has merged themselves in corrupt practices and extorting money through electoral bonds. BJP President Sadanand Tanawade should not speak about Congress, he should see how deep his party is involved in corruption,\u201d Bhike said.<\/div>\n

He said that BJP leaders are presently visiting religious places to seek blessings during election time, as they have betrayed even to gods.<\/div>\n

\u201cBJP has totally failed in all aspects. Former Goa governor Satyapal Malik had alleged that Chief Minister Pramod Sawant along with his wife were involved in corruption. But no action has been taken. Why did the BJP government fail to probe these allegations leveled by a person in a high position,\u201d he questioned.<\/div>\n

He thanked the Supreme Court for compelling SBI to release a list of electoral bonds, wherein BJP got exposed.<\/div>\n

Bhike said that AYUSH ministry, once headed by Shripad Naik, failed to deter Ramdev Baba from releasing misleading information during COVID. \u201cWe are thankful to Supreme Court for exposing the acts of Ramdev Baba,\u201d he said.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
