Drishti Marine&#8217;s lifesavers at Miramar, Calangute and other beaches in North Goa took a momentary pause from their day chores to celebrate the festival by praying to the God of the Sea for protection. The festival traditionally heralds the start of the fishing season in Goa.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis day is especially significant for our lifesavers, who have a deep relationship with the sea.
