Goa Tourism was awarded with<\/div>\n
1) National Tourism Awards 2022: best Civic Management of a Tourist Destination in India Calangute village\u00a0 (Category C)<\/div>\n
2) National Tourism Award\u00a0 for National Tourism Hall of fame. (Category Union Territory: Comprehensive Development of Tourism.<\/div>\n
3) National Tourism Awards Most innovative use of information Technology-social media \/ Mobile App website for developing and successfully operating fully indigenous mobile taxi app hailing system in Goa for goamiles in true spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat .<\/div>\n
4) National Tourism Award in category of Devotion to Duty Awarded to four lifeguards of Goa tourism agency Drishti life saving namely Shri Shashikant Jadhav , Shri M Gulablal, Shri Ramesh gaonkar and Shri Nitesh Chendekar<\/div>\n

The above National Tourism Awards were accepted by Shri. Rohan Khaunte, Hon. Minister for Tourism & IT, Govt. of Goa and Shri. Nikhil Desai, IAS, Director of Tourism Govt. of Goa at the hands of Hon\u2019ble Vice President of India Shri Jagdeep Dhankar in presence of Hon Union Tourism Minister Shri J Kishan Reddy\u00a0 and Hon Union Minister of state for tourism Shri Ajay Bhatt and Secretary Tourism Govt of India Shri Arvind Singh.<\/div>\n

Shri. Rohan Khaunte, Hon. Minister for Tourism & IT, said that Goa Tourism has embarked on a remarkable journey to position Goa as premiere tourism destination in India and of the world and added that and such prestigious awards recognise the hard work, dedication\u00a0 and efforts of entire team from goa tourism and these recognitions shall continue to inspire us to excel in this sector. He added that goa tourism shall ensure comprehensive development of basic facilities and upgrade the Tourism infrastructure and efforts shall be made to develop responsible and sustainable Tourism in Goa.\u00a0 he also complimented Tourism stakeholders in Goa for extending support to Goa Tourism and providing warm hospitality for the visiting tourists in true spirit of Atithi Devo Bhava. He also thanked Hon PM Shri Narendra Modi , HOn union tourism minister shri J Kishan Reddy , Hon MoS Tourism Shri Shripad Naik and Shri Ajay Bhatt and Hon Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant for their continued support and encouragement without which this achievement would not be possible.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
