{"id":116442,"date":"2026-11-07T07:34:51","date_gmt":"2026-11-07T02:04:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/?p=116442"},"modified":"2026-11-07T07:34:54","modified_gmt":"2026-11-07T02:04:54","slug":"rgp-office-bearers-file-formal-police-complaint-against-ajay-tipu-kholkar-over-derogatory-remarks-against-state-president-shavina-naik-shirodkar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/?p=116442","title":{"rendered":"RGP Office Bearers File Formal Police Complaint Against Ajay Tipu Kholkar Over Derogatory Remarks Against State President Shavina Naik Shirodkar"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Goa Khabar:The Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP), represented by its office bearers Premanand Gawde \u2013 State General Secretary (Organisation), Nitesh Bhandari \u2013 Madkai Block President, and Manila Shirodkar \u2013 Party Spokesperson, has submitted a formal complaint before the Ponda Police Station against Mr. Ajay Tipu Kholkar over alleged sexist, sexually suggestive and degrading remarks made against Ms. Shavina Naik Shirodkar, State President of the Revolutionary Goans party , during a media interaction.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The complaint seeks a fair and impartial police inquiry and appropriate action under the applicable provisions of law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The remarks, particularly the expression &#8220;I don&#8217;t use expired products,&#8221; raise serious concerns about the dignity, respect and treatment of women in public life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Political disagreements, criticism and differences of opinion are integral to a democracy. However, personal insults, sexually suggestive comments and language that appears to demean a woman&#8217;s dignity must never be normalised or dismissed as acceptable political discourse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"452\" src=\"https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/z-cinema-05.11.2026.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-116401\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/z-cinema-05.11.2026.png 300w, https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/z-cinema-05.11.2026-199x300.png 199w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No woman should have to endure degrading personal remarks simply because she holds a public position, exercises her democratic rights or expresses her political opinions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Freedom of speech comes with responsibility. It cannot be used as an excuse to justify language that disrespects, humiliates or undermines the dignity of another individual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We also urge society to collectively stand against sexist, disrespectful and derogatory remarks directed at women, irrespective of their political affiliations, positions or backgrounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is not merely about one individual or one political party.
