Goa Khabar:<\/strong>AAP Goa President Valmiki Naik, Women’s wing President Mamata Maben & Sr leaders of the party along with women wing volunteers burnt an effigy of BJP National General Secretary BL Santosh and CM Sawant protested against them for opposing Rs 3000\/month for women. The demand for Rs 3000\/month was raised by a female BJP MLA to which he responded in a misogynistic manner during a BJP meeting. AAP Called this a brazen display of anti-women mindset of the BJP. The protestors burnt the effigy of BL Santosh and CM Sawant condemning their actions and demanding Rs 3000\/month. The portest was also attended by AAP Sr Vice President Sandesh Teleikar-Dessai, OBC Wing leader Sandeep Pednekar & North Goa Women’s Wing Vice President Ratishma Shirodkar<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Valmiki stated that AAP’s guarantee has sparked a huge wave of interest amongst the common Goan. Voters are asking their BJP MLAs why they can’t increase Grihadhar to INR 3000 a month and why they can’t remove the restrictive conditions from it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AAP Mahila Wing President Mamata Maben stated that she was shocked at the arrogance of BL Santosh for insulting a woman MLA in a meeting for simply asking that Grihadhar be increased to the standards of AAP’s Punjab Govt. She said it was huge insult to all the women of Goa that instead of considering increasing the schemes amount and removing its restrictive terms and conditions the BJP was willing to expel its members who suggested it. She added that Grihadhar is not charity but the right of every Goan from their taxes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AAP North Goa Women’s Wing Vice President Ratishma Shirodkar asked the BJP how they expected women to run homes when the BJP has created a situation where household daily items are out of reach due to high prices. She added that on top of that instead of increasing Grihadhar to match inflation and the increased burden of high prices BJP leaders have the audacity to shut down any conversation on supporting women. She added that Goa is a cash rich state and increasing support for women would barely make a dent on Goa’s budget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AAP Sr Vice President Sandesh Teleikar-Dessai stated that misogyny is in the BJP’s blood and that is why they chose to insult a women MLA and the women of Goa during the Navratri period.
