He is the third accused arrested in Crime No. 52\/2026, registered under various provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and the Emigration Act, 1983.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"340\" src=\"https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/17.07.26.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-113998\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/17.07.26.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/17.07.26-265x300.jpg 265w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the investigation, Harpreet Singh and his associates allegedly conspired to cheat victims from several States by collecting large sums of money on the false promise of overseas jobs. The accused allegedly operated as recruiting agents without valid registration under the Emigration Act and trafficked victims to East Asian countries on tourist visas instead of providing legitimate employment, exposing them to possible exploitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Earlier, the Crime Branch had arrested Ambar Sawant and Pankaj Naik, both residents of Goa, in the same case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Goa Crime Branch has urged the public to remain cautious while seeking jobs abroad and advised candidates to use only recruitment agencies registered under the Emigration Act after verifying their credentials before making any payments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Further investigation is being carried out by PI Kishor Ramanan under the supervision of SP Jivba Dalvi, holding charge of DySP, Crime Branch, and the overall supervision of Rahul Gupta, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Crime Branch.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Goa Khabar : The Goa Crime Branch has arrested Harpreet Singh (39), an alleged international trafficker from Kurukshetra, Haryana, in connection with a fake overseas job racket that duped job seekers by promising employment in Hong Kong and other foreign countries.
