Goa Khabar:<\/strong> In a major political development that reflects the growing public support for the Indian National Congress and the increasing disillusionment with the BJP Government, Shri Shivprasad Vasant Shirodkar today joined the Congress Party along with hundreds of his supporters at Congress House, Panaji.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shri Shirodkar was formally inducted into the party by Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Girish Chodankar, who accepted his membership form and welcomed him by presenting the Congress flag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The induction ceremony was attended by AICC Goa In-charge Manickrao Thakare, AICC Co-Incharge Dr. Anjali Nimbalkar, Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao, GPCC Working President M. K. Shaikh, GPCC Spokesperson Savio Coutinho, Samil Volvoikar, District President Rajesh Verekar, Shashank Narvekar, Mangaldas Naik, Youth Congress President Archit Naik, Shiroda Block Congress President Snehalo Gracious, and several other senior leaders, office-bearers and party workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Welcoming Shri Shirodkar and his supporters into the Congress family, the senior leaders said the overwhelming response to the party is a clear indication that people across Goa are losing faith in the BJP Government due to its anti-people policies, rising corruption, misgovernance and complete neglect of the issues affecting ordinary citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They stated that the large-scale induction marks the beginning of a stronger and more united Congress in Shiroda, with people from different sections of society rallying behind the party\u2019s vision of transparent governance, social justice and inclusive development. The leaders expressed confidence that the growing wave of support for the Congress would continue to strengthen the organisation across Goa and pave the way for political change in the State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Expressing his confidence in the Congress leadership, Shri Shivprasad Vasant Shirodkar said he has joined the party to work for the welfare of the people and to contribute towards building a stronger movement against the failures of the BJP Government.
