The accused and his associates allegedly posed as representatives of a trading platform called&nbsp;<strong>\u201cCitadel Security\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;and persuaded the complainant to invest through a fake mobile application bearing the same name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fraudsters reportedly lured the victim with promises of high returns from IPO investments and share market trading. Believing the claims, the complainant transferred a total of&nbsp;<strong>\u20b94,23,94,163<\/strong>&nbsp;to various accounts linked to the accused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following a detailed technical and financial investigation, Goa Cyber Crime Police traced one of the suspects to&nbsp;<strong>Kozhikode, Kerala<\/strong>. A police team comprising&nbsp;<strong>PSI Navin Naik, PC Yash Kole and PC Sidramayya Math<\/strong>&nbsp;arrested&nbsp;<strong>Rejas Ali P.P.<\/strong>, a resident of Kozhikode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the investigation, police found that the accused had received&nbsp;<strong>\u20b927 lakh<\/strong>&nbsp;in his bank account at the first layer of the transaction chain. The money was subsequently routed to several other accounts belonging to his associates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Further financial analysis revealed that the same bank account was linked to&nbsp;<strong>two other cyber fraud cases in Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh<\/strong>, involving a cumulative amount of approximately&nbsp;<strong>\u20b94.21 crore<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The accused was produced before the court and has been remanded to police custody. Further investigation is being carried out by&nbsp;<strong>PI Deepak Pednekar<\/strong>&nbsp;under the supervision of&nbsp;<strong>ASP B. V.
