Through guided activities, storytelling and collaborative making, children will discover that dreaming is not only something that happens while asleep, but also as an active skill that can shape how we live, relate and imagine change.

“Dreaming isn’t only for the night—it’s something we practice while we’re awake. When we come together through art, we begin to imagine and shape the world we want to live in. Maybe that’s what summer is for: making space to dream, and to build those dreams together,” says Sharada Kerkar, co-founder, Children’s Art Studio at the Pilerne-based museum.

The participants will be divided into two age groups and will work with a wide range of materials and ideas. They will create animal-inspired eyes and issue-based masks that encourage them to look at life from another perspective. They will build nests and paper-mâché vessels centred on trust, care and the responsibility of holding one another’s thoughts and feelings safely.

Children will also take part in a shared garden puzzle exploring interdependence and cooperation, alongside a chair-design exercise on holding space and making room for different voices. A pillow activity inspired by waking dreams and a collaborative colour-making project will show how individual expression can become part of a larger whole. Structured to balance reflection with play, the camp gives children the freedom to get messy, ask questions and experiment in a supportive studio environment. They will leave not only with artworks, but also with fresh ideas about friendship, fairness and belonging.

Camp 1 will run from 5 May to 10 May for children aged 4 to 6. Camp 2 will take place from 19 May to 24 May for children aged 7 to 11. Sessions begin daily at 10.30 am at the Children’s Art Studio, Museum of Goa. Registrations are now open. Parents seeking a meaningful and creative summer experience for their children are encouraged to apply early, as the camp will have limited slots.

~ The six-day immersive programme invites children to use imagination, empathy and collaboration to shape a kinder shared world Goa Khabar: This summer, the Museum of Goa in Pilerne will open its Children’s Art Studio (CAS) to a new generation of young thinkers and makers through Dreaming Together, a six-day art camp designed to help […]

[155,6
3794,38
post-111762","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-155","category-6","tag-featured","tag-goa
["GET
