Goa Khabar : In a significant move to strengthen international ties and tap into the Central Asian market, Goa Tourism officially inaugurated the Grand Goa Pavilion at the 26th edition of the Kazakhstan International Tourism Fair (KITF) 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was marked by a high-profile inauguration led by Rohan Khaunte<\/strong>, Hon\u2019ble Minister for Tourism, Government of Goa, alongside Smagulov Olzhas Mukhtarovich<\/strong>, Deputy Akim of Almaty City, and H.E. Y.K. Sailas Thangal<\/strong>, Indian Ambassador to Kazakhstan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delivering the keynote address, Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte emphasized that Goa is evolving into a high-value, sustainable global destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Goa is more than just its 104-kilometre coastline; it is a feeling and a diverse experience. We are here to showcase the very best of Goa\u2014from our hinterlands to our wellness retreats\u2014to the people of Kazakhstan,” the Minister stated.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Currently, Kazakhstan is connected to India via Air Astana<\/strong> (through Mumbai and Delhi). However, the Minister revealed that the government is in advanced discussions with FlyArystan<\/strong> and SCAT Airlines<\/strong> to establish direct chartered flights from Almaty and Astana specifically to Goa, ensuring seamless travel for tourists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Focus on Sustainability and Culture<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Goa Pavilion at KITF 2026 has been designed to reflect a shift toward Regenerative Tourism<\/strong>. Moving away from the traditional “sun-and-sand” image, the pavilion highlights:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
