Bhoomkar completed a double in the ladies open singles and doubles events, while Nunes claimed the men\u2019s open singles and mixed doubles titles.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bhoomkar won the ladies&#8217; open singles title with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Tvisha Sardesai, before pairing with Bhaavya Bhoomkar to secure the ladies&#8217; open doubles crown, defeating Poojal Naik and Raisa Menezes 6-4, 6-1. The pair had earlier dominated their semi-final with a 6-0, 6-0 win, underlining their consistency through the draw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nunes, meanwhile, lifted the men\u2019s open singles title after a 7-5, 6-3 win over Rushil Anikar in the final. He went on to add the mixed open doubles title alongside&nbsp; Aishwarya Nunes, with the pair edging past Sreenath and Tanya 7-5, 7-5 in a closely contested final.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the men\u2019s open doubles final, Prince De Silva and Nishad Shevde registered a straight-sets 6-2, 6-3 win over Shaurya Awasthi and Rushil Anikar to claim the title. The men\u2019s 60+ singles final saw Sameer Kakodkar defeat Manoj Pandey 6-1, 3-6, 10-6, while in the 60+ doubles category, Sanjay Shinde and David Mendonsa secured a 6-2 win over Artemio Moraes and Caetano Fernandes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the men\u2019s 45+ singles final, Anurag Agrawal overcame Dimitry Smirnov 6-4, 6-3, winning the title. Anurag also won the men\u2019s 45+ doubles category, pairing up with Jai Gill, to defeat Sachin Dukle and Kevin Pinto 6-4, 3-6, 10-6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The boys&#8217; under-18 singles title was claimed by Ethan Ataide, who defeated Kyan Mavany 4-1, 4-3. In the boys under-14 category, Kyan Mavany secured a 4-3, 4-1 win over Adianta Devaraya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the girls&#8217; categories, Tvisha Sardesai registered a 4-1, 4-1 win over Bhaavya Bhoomkar to win the girls&#8217; under-14 title, while also winning the girls&#8217; under-18 final against Tithee Bhoomkar 4-1, 3-4, 10-5. In the boys&#8217; under-12 final, Arsh Sardesai delivered a dominant 4-0, 4-0 win over Christian Shawn Fernandes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The wheelchair open final saw Mahesh Pagadala and Moises Rodrigues&nbsp; defeat Melvin Mendes&nbsp; and Niklesh Pednekar 4-2, concluding a category that featured participants with disabilities competing across matches during the tournament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The closing ceremony was attended by chief guest Auduth Timblo, Chairman of Fomento Group, along with Sameer Kakodkar, President of the Goa State Tennis Association, Narahar Thakur, Vice-President of Panjim Gymkhana, and Sachin Dukle, Secretary of the GSTA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reflecting on the tournament atmosphere, Timblo noted the strong participation and community presence, stating, \u201cI\u2019m not saying the goal must be to produce a tennis champion. What truly matters is the sportsmanship that develops through such initiatives. That, in itself, is incredibly valuable.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kakodkar highlighted the scale of the event, noting that 175 players participated, including 118 from North Goa and 57 from South Goa. \u201cWe had 14 first-time participants, while 161 players returned, which reflects the experience we provide. A total of 238 matches were played over 119 hours of tennis,\u201d he said, adding that the youngest participant at the tournament&#8217;s third edition was an eight-year-old tennis player, while the oldest was 85.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Bandodkar Panjim Gymkhana Tennis Open is held in honour of Goa\u2019s first Chief Minister Dayanand Bandodkar.
