Khaunte; Chairman GTDC Shri Kedar J Naik; CCP Mayor Shri Rohit Monserrate; the Director of Tourism, Shri Kedar Naik; Managing Director GTDC Shri Kuldeep Arolkar and other dignitaries.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Addressing the gathering, the Hon\u2019ble Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant stated \u201cThe Goa Carnaval reflects the State\u2019s inclusive and welcoming spirit, bringing together people from diverse backgrounds through culture, music and celebration. Such festivals not only strengthen our cultural identity but also enhance Goa\u2019s global visibility as a vibrant destination. The strong presence of international visitors, many witnessing Carnaval for the first time, highlights the growing global interest in Goa\u2019s cultural experiences. The diverse floats and performances reflect Goa\u2019s rich cultural fabric and the Department\u2019s commitment to delivering high-quality, safe and engaging festive experiences for residents and visitors alike.\u201d<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The ceremonial flag-off in the State capital witnessed an overwhelming public response, with large numbers of domestic and international visitors lining the streets of Panaji. Tourists from across India and abroad gathered to witness Goa\u2019s most celebrated cultural spectacle, many experiencing the Carnaval for the very first time, while several others returned to relive its vibrant legacy.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The procession was led by the charismatic King Momo, whose grand arrival and traditional entourage heralded the spirit of revelry and joy. A series of creatively designed floats depicting Goa\u2019s cultural heritage, contemporary themes and festive traditions rolled through the streets, accompanied by spirited performances.
