Goa Khabar:<\/strong>A series of transformative Smart City projects were inaugurated today at the hands of the Hon\u2019ble Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant,Shri. Atanasio Monserrate Revenue Minister and Panaji Constituency MLA, and Shri. Sandip Jacques, IAS, MD & CEO, Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Limited (IPSCDL). The launch marks a significant milestone under the Smart City Mission, reaffirming the Government of Goa\u2019s commitment to sustainable urban development, strengthened civic infrastructure, and an improved quality of life for the citizens of Panaji.<\/div>\n

As part of the Smart City initiatives, Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Limited (IPSCDL) has undertaken the launch of series of transformative projects aimed at strengthening Panaji\u2019s urban infrastructure and sustainability framework.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Mr. Sandip Jacques, IAS, MD & CEO, IPSCDL, stated that \u201cEach of these projects have been<\/div>\n

Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Limited (IPSCDL) has successfully completed the Restoration, Refurbishment & Interior Design of IPSCDL Headquarters located along Rua de Ourem Creek, creating a harmonious blend of heritage conservation and contemporary functionality. The initiative carefully retains the architectural integrity and historic character of the structure while incorporating modern infrastructure, improved workspaces, and sustainable design features. The project stands as a noteworthy example of adaptive reuse, demonstrating how heritage assets can be revitalised to meet present-day administrative and operational needs.<\/div>\n

To strengthen connectivity to Diwar Island, IPSCDL has undertaken the Widening of Ferry Ramps for Ro-Ro Ferries at Diwar and St. Pedro. The upgraded infrastructure facilitates smoother vehicular movement, improves turnaround time and operational efficiency, and enhances overall convenience and accessibility for commuters relying on this vital transport link.<\/div>\n

As part of the Smart City Mission, Panaji has been equipped with a modernised water supply network integrated with advanced SCADA-based monitoring systems. The initiative enables 24×7 water availability, enhances operational efficiency, and strengthens real-time resource management. Leve<\/div>\n
raging smart technology, the project ensures reliable, sustainable, and improved water service delivery for residents across the city.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Development of the Pedestrian Spine and Revitalisation of the Patto Creekside Area has transformed the area into a vibrant recreational and pedestrian-friendly corridor, complete with boardwalks, landscaped zones, and improved public amenities. The initiative enhances urban connectivity and encourages community interaction, while carefully preserving the surrounding mangrove ecosystem through sustainable and environmentally sensitive design practices.<\/div>\n

In collaboration with Reliance BP Mobility Limited, Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Limited (IPSCDL) has strengthened electric vehicle infrastructure through the installation of multiple operational EV Charging Stations in Panaji and Adjoining areas. This initiative promotes clean mobility, supports the reduction of carbon emissions, and marks a significant step forward in advancing Goa\u2019s transition toward sustainable and future-ready transportation solutions.<\/div>\n

The Fishermen\u2019s Wharf at Ribandar has been comprehensively redeveloped with upgraded berthing arrangements and enhanced operational facilities to improve overall efficiency and safety.
