Goa Khabar : Porvorim-based digital transformation firm Kilowott is set to aid in the development of Norway\u2019s Gj\u00f8vik region, as part of its India initiative, in collaboration with Gj\u00f8vikregionen, a government-backed regional development organisation. In the bid to facilitate this initiative, Kilowott\u2019s co-founder, Judah Fernandez and Strategic Outreach Partner, Sheraline Rocha visited Norway, in January.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The visit focused on discussions around long-term strategic collaboration opportunities between the region and industry stakeholders. With an emphasis on building a collaborative model centered around close cooperation with local and regional agencies, the discussion focused on leveraging Kilowott\u2019s strong presence in Norway and the Nordic region to support talent development, innovation and value creation by bridging academia, public bodies and the industry.<\/p>\n

The key stakeholders involved in the discussions included the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) Gj\u00f8vik, Gj\u00f8vik Kommune, NTNU Gj\u00f8vik (Norwegian University of Science and Technology), Mustad N\u00e6ringspark, Frostr\u00f8yk id\u00e9 & design and the wider region. The firm explored the idea of co-designing and piloting micro-credential programmes that could help students and early professionals transition smoothly from academic learning into fast-paced technology and innovation environments.<\/p>\n

The discussions focused on flexible, practical learning formats, delivered digitally or through hands-on workshops, that align closely with real-world industry needs. This initiative reflects Gj\u00f8vikregionen\u2019s mission to strengthen the region\u2019s business ecosystem, enhance access to skilled talent, and increase the region\u2019s attractiveness for students, professionals, and public initiatives,\u201d says Rocha, about the visit.<\/p>\n

The visit comes at a time of increased engagement between India and Norway in order to improve economic co-operation.<\/p>\n

Speaking about Kilowott\u2019s outreach in Norway, Fernandez says, \u201cFrom Kilowott\u2019s perspective, the vision aligns closely with our experience in delivering short, industry-relevant programmes that equip graduates with hands-on skills in areas such as agile practices, AI applications, and scalable tech solutions.\u201d<\/p>\n
