Founded and conceptualised by Asha Arondekar, the Orchid Awards have grown into a prestigious and iconic platform completing 15 years recognising Goan women who inspire change and leadership.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A grand celebration of talent, dedication, and achievements marked the 13th edition of Orchid Awards for Women Achievers of Goa, an evening which shone through inspiration and commitment.<\/p>\n<p>Held at the Panjim Convention Centre, the programme celebrated the power of women in different sectors and the winners were:<br \/>\nIrene Cardozo &#8211; Art &amp; Culture<br \/>\nSr. Monica Coelho &#8211; Education<br \/>\nMilena Gomes &#8211; Social Work<br \/>\nAmaira Dhumatker &#8211; Sports<br \/>\nSiddhi Porob &#8211; Women Empowerment<br \/>\nSarika Shirodkar &#8211; Journalism<br \/>\nLaxmi Kunkolienkar &#8211; Business<br \/>\nAnaisha Parab &#8211; Girl Child Prodigy<br \/>\nResha Vernekar &#8211; Woman Achiever with Disability<br \/>\nDr. Ratan Srikrishna Naik &#8211; Lifetime Achievement<\/p>\n<p>The youngest award winner was 7 years old and the oldest winner was at 93. The event was graced by Chief Guest; Sulakshana Sawant &#8211; President Padmini Foundation, Guest of Honour; Chayaa Nanjappa &#8211; Country President India, ABWCI and Rohit Monserrate; Hon. Mayor of the Corporation city of Panaji and other eminent guests, dignitaries and well wishers.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on the occasion, founder Asha Arondekar said, &#8220;Orchid Awards are not just trophies, they are a tribute to the strength, struggles and success stories of Goan women.
