The event witnessed the presence of several dignitaries, including Guruprasad Pawaskar, Hon\u2019ble State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities; Prasanna Acharya, Secretary, Department for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities; Varsha Naik, Director, Department for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities; Taha Haaziq, Secretary, State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities; and Neetal Amonkar, Member Secretary, Sanjay Centre for Special Education.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-108893\" src=\"https:\/\/goakhabar-com.preview.jikut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/09.01.2026-249x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"249\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/09.01.2026-249x300.jpg 249w, https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/09.01.2026.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 249px) 100vw, 249px\" \/><\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">As part of the celebrations, the wheelchair cricket team of Odisha, winners of the Chief Minister\u2019s Trophy, was felicitated by the Hon\u2019ble Minister in recognition of their outstanding achievement and contribution to inclusive sports.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">In line with the spirit of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which is observed globally on 3rd December every year, various competitions were organised for students from regular and special schools. These included poster-making, drawing, quiz competitions, visual art competitions, and visual performance arts.
