The swift response underscores the Department\u2019s zero-tolerance approach towards littering and its unwavering commitment to maintaining Goa\u2019s beaches as clean, safe, and welcoming public spaces for both visitors and locals.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Upon identification of the issue, ground teams were mobilised without delay, and the area was thoroughly cleaned in coordination with the concerned agencies. Necessary instructions have also been reinforced with stakeholders to ensure sustained cleanliness and adherence to prescribed waste management protocols.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">The Hon\u2019ble Minister for Tourism, Rohan Khaunte, reiterated the state\u2019s commitment to responsible tourism, stating \u201cClean beaches are central to Goa\u2019s identity as a world-class tourism destination. Any lapse is addressed immediately, and we will continue to work closely with all stakeholders to ensure that our coastline remains pristine, orderly, and environmentally responsible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Echoing this sentiment, the Director of Tourism, Kedar Naik said \u201cThe Department remains vigilant and proactive in monitoring beach cleanliness. Swift action, stakeholder cooperation, and sustained awareness are key to ensuring that Goa\u2019s beaches continue to meet the highest standards of hygiene and environmental care.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Appreciating the Department\u2019s timely intervention, Cruz Cardozo, President, Shack Owners\u2019 Welfare Society, Goa, stated \u201cI would like to express my sincere appreciation to the Department of Tourism for its swift and effective intervention in addressing the issue of garbage accumulation across Goa\u2019s beaches. Following our complaint, the Department acted with commendable speed to clear the affected areas. Such proactive action not only restores the natural beauty of our beaches but also reaffirms the government\u2019s commitment to maintaining Goa as a world-class tourism destination. Prompt responses like these go a long way in reinforcing the confidence of shack operators and local stakeholders in the Department\u2019s management and leadership.
