\u00a0Goa Khabar : Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal launched a blistering attack on the Pramod Sawant-led BJP government during a packed public meeting in Xeldem, held in support of AAP\u2019s Zilla Panchayat candidate James Fernandes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Arvind Kejriwal said: \u201cThe Pramod Sawant government is nothing but a hafta (extortion) vasoli sarkar. No work happens without demanding hafta or bribe. The Arpora incident is the clearest example \u2014 a nightclub without permissions operated freely only because the government was collecting hafta. This is why Goa today suffers under a \u2018hafta vasoli sarkar.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

He further warned: \u201cCriminals openly threaten people\u2026 they threaten our workers\u2026 they threaten to remove ordinary Goans from their jobs. Is Goa BJP\u2019s father\u2019s property? Goa belongs to Goans. Their voice is AAP \u2014 and we are not afraid of anyone.\u201d<\/p>\n

He appealed to Goans to unite and remove the BJP from power to restore peace, safety and dignity.<\/p>\n

VENZY VIEGAS: \u201cJames sir stood with people when no one else did\u201d<\/p>\n

MLA Capt. Venzy Viegas said: \u201cJames sir is the one who stood with the people when it was needed the most. Whether it was injustice, bad roads, crime issues or people needing urgent help \u2014 James was always first on the ground. Today the people of Xeldem must stand with him the way he has stood with them.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cGoa needs leaders who listen to people, not extort them. What Kejriwal ji said is the truth \u2014 this government has reduced governance to hafta collection. AAP will restore honesty and dignity.\u201d<\/p>\n

AMIT PALEKAR: \u201cBJP must be defeated to protect Goa\u2019s environment\u201d<\/p>\n

AAP State President Adv. Amit Palekar said: \u201cThe rising cases of wild animals entering villages show the complete collapse of environmental governance under BJP. If Goa\u2019s environment is to be protected, BJP must be defeated. They fear AAP because we expose their corruption.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said that James Fernandes represents clean and accountable grassroots leadership that Goa desperately needs.<\/p>\n

JAMES FERNANDES: \u201cThis fight is for dignity, safety and justice for Xeldem\u201d<\/p>\n
