{"id":105959,"date":"2025-09-25T19:08:13","date_gmt":"2025-09-25T13:38:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/?p=105959"},"modified":"2025-09-25T19:08:13","modified_gmt":"2025-09-25T13:38:13","slug":"goa-tourism-hosts-heritage-walk-forest-picnic-carambolim-lake-experience-as-part-of-world-tourism-day-celebrations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/?p=105959","title":{"rendered":"Goa Tourism hosts heritage walk, forest picnic &#038; Carambolim lake experience as part of world tourism day celebrations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"auto\"><strong>Goa Khabar : As part of the ongoing World Tourism Day 2025 celebrations, the Department of Tourism, Government of Goa, in collaboration with the Travel and Tourism Association of Goa (TTAG), SKAL International Goa and the Yuva Tourism Club, organised a series of immersive experiences over the past week including a Heritage Walk at Aguad Port &amp; Jail Complex, a \u2018Picnic by the Forest Stream\u2019 at Bicholim and a Nature Experience at Carambolim Lake.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">These initiatives are part of Goa Tourism\u2019s continued efforts to promote regenerative and experiential tourism, bringing students, stakeholders and visitors closer to Goa\u2019s natural and cultural heritage. From exploring history and stories at Aguad, to relaxing in pristine forest waters at Bicholim, to learning about wetland biodiversity at Carambolim Lake, the activities highlighted Goa\u2019s \u201cBeyond Beaches\u201d narrative and its focus on conservation.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-105844\" src=\"https:\/\/goakhabar-com.preview.jikut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/21165-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"227\" height=\"142\" \/><\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Hon\u2019ble Minister for Tourism, Rohan Khaunte said, Through such inclusive and diverse programmes, we are reinforcing our vision of positioning Goa as a leader in regenerative tourism. By blending heritage, nature and community experiences, we are creating meaningful engagements for students, stakeholders and visitors alike.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Director of Tourism, Kedar Naik added, \u201cThese activities not only offer unique insights into Goa\u2019s ecology and heritage but also sensitise participants about the importance of sustainability and responsible travel.
