The initiative aims to equip rural women with essential digital skills, opening new avenues in employment, entrepreneurship, and access to public services.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">The programme was graced by Hon\u2019ble Minister for ITE&amp;C and Tourism Rohan Khaunte; Director, DITE&amp;C, Kabir Shirgaonkar; Director of Tourism, Kedar Naik; Managing Director, GTDC, Kuldeep Arolkar; Public Policy Head \u2013 India, Airbnb, Asmita Joshi; and Senior Coordinator, Self Employed Women\u2019s Association (SEWA), Tejas Raval.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Addressing the gathering, Rohan Khaunte said, Mahila is the backbone of our community. In line with Hon\u2019ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji\u2019s four pillars of development \u2013 Yuva Shakti, Mahila Shakti, Kisan Shakti, and Garib Kalyan, this Yojana empowers women from villages with the skills to earn, innovate, and actively participate in the digital economy. Training will be provided through Common Service Centres (CSCs) and Village Level Entrepreneurs, giving women a real opportunity to learn and earn.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Kabir Shirgaonkar added that the programme enables women to confidently use smartphones, access online platforms, and navigate government services. \u201cSoon, women-led Self Help Groups will also be trained in advanced drone operations, further expanding their livelihood opportunities,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">The Mahila Digital Shashaktikaran Yojana includes the Mahila Cyber Saksharta Course, a 12-hour programme comprising 2 hours of theory and 10 hours of practical training. On completion, participants receive an e-certificate.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\"><strong>The curriculum covers:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"auto\">\u00a0Internet browsing and e-governance websites<\/li>\n<li dir=\"auto\">\u00a0Use of Android devices and mobile applications<\/li>\n<li dir=\"auto\">\u00a0App management and installation<\/li>\n<li dir=\"auto\">\u00a0Online payments<\/li>\n<li dir=\"auto\">\u00a0Social media navigation<\/li>\n<li dir=\"auto\">\u00a0Cybersecurity basics<\/li>\n<li dir=\"auto\">\u00a0Overview of e-commerce platforms<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"auto\">The scheme is open to Goan women aged 18 and above who have resided in the state for at least 15 years.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Training will be conducted through empanelled IT Knowledge Centres (ITKCs), Common Service Centres (CSCs), and Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) at local venues such as panchayat halls, schools, and community spaces.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">By giving women the tools, knowledge, and confidence to engage in the digital economy, the Mahila Digital Shashaktikaran Yojana is strengthening communities and paving the way for a more inclusive and empowered Goa.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Goa Khabar : The Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communications (DITE&amp;C), Government of Goa, showcased its recently launched Mahila Digital Shashaktikaran Yojana during an awareness and training programme at Panaji.
