{"id":104067,"date":"2025-07-12T20:29:51","date_gmt":"2025-07-12T14:59:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/?p=104067"},"modified":"2025-07-12T20:29:51","modified_gmt":"2025-07-12T14:59:51","slug":"goa-based-arunima-bose-successfully-swims-english-channel-in-relay-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/?p=104067","title":{"rendered":"Goa based Arunima Bose successfully swims English\u00a0Channel in relay team"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b><\/b><strong>Goa Khabar : Goa based swimmer, Arunima Bose has successfully swum across the 34km English Channel as a part of a relay team on June 21.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Arunima was part of a five member, \u201cSwimLife Arrows\u201d team from India, comprising Avinash Thadani, Kiran Rajagopal, Madhur Gopal and Yajna Somayaji which swam from Shakespeare Beach in Dover, England to Cap-Gris-Nez, France in a time of 15:58 hours.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The English Channel is part of the Seven Oceans Challenge. This year was special, as this was the 125th anniversary of Captain Matthew Webb, the first person to swim across the Channel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-104031\" src=\"https:\/\/goakhabar-com.preview.jikut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/11.07.2025ch-1-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"288\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Arunima, a Panaji based Expressive Art Therapist is also the lead coach at the Goa Open Water Swimming Club (GOWSC) which focuses on introducing swimmers across India to the joys of open water swimming.
