The conference saw a total of 70 attendees.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The conference featured a diverse program, including a keynote address, 15 presentations across various themes, and a highly engaging panel discussion on the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-103478\" src=\"https:\/\/goakhabar-com.preview.jikut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/20250613_144247-Large-300x169.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/20250613_144247-Large-300x169.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/20250613_144247-Large-1024x576.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/20250613_144247-Large-768x432.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/20250613_144247-Large.jpeg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The presenters were teachers from diverse subjects such as Art, Social Science, Maths, and Language, demonstrating how the concepts of Computational Thinking (CT) are effectively implemented in their classrooms.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The conference was graced by the presence of key figures in education and computational thinking, including:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ms Meghana Shetgaonkar, Director, GSCERT<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prof. Janarthanam Malapathi, Chairman, Goa State Research Foundation<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ms Sonia Garcha, Steering Committee Chair, CTiS<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dr. V.V.Kamat, ACM Goa Professional Chapter, Programme Committee Co-Chair, CTiS Goa<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ms Vandana Naik, Programme Committee Co-Chair, CTiS Goa<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dr Manoj Ibrampurkar, Associate Professor, GSRF Goa and Mentor and Jury Member for CTIS 2025<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vidyut Navelkar, Ex TCS, Jury member for CTIS 2025<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The abstract selection jury comprised Dr. V.V. Kamat, Manoj Ibrampurkar and Vidyut Navelkar. The selected teachers will present at the Seventh conference on<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/event.india.acm.org\/ctis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Computational Thinking in Schools (CTiS2025)<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from 24th to 26th July, 2025 at IISER, Pune<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The panel discussion on AI and education sparked lively debate and insightful questions from various perspectives, including ethics, assessment, and practical tools that can be used by teachers and schools.
