World Heritage Day raises awareness about the cultural significance and importance of World Heritage sites.\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The event will showcase Goa&#8217;s rich cultural heritage through traditional crafts, music, and dance.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The festivities, postponed from April 18 due to Holy Week, will feature live demos of traditional Goan crafts, including mollam, a traditional weaving technique, pottery, and colorful Chitari art from Cuncolim. The evening will also highlight the work of prominent Goans, including Fadista Sonia Shirsat, Festacar Marius Fernandes, and folk artist and researcher Susmita Gawas.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The event will also pay homage to women freedom fighters through a book by historian Prajal Sakhardande.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">GHAG aims to preserve Goa&#8217;s dying traditional arts and crafts, promoting the state&#8217;s cultural identity.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;Our events will showcase a glimpse of our heritage and culture through various programs,&#8221; says *Dr Jorson Fernandes*.
