{"id":100848,"date":"2025-03-01T20:00:09","date_gmt":"2025-03-01T14:30:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/?p=100848"},"modified":"2025-03-01T20:00:09","modified_gmt":"2025-03-01T14:30:09","slug":"fda-to-raid-restaurants-pharmacies-checking-them-for-violations-vishwajit-rane","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/?p=100848","title":{"rendered":"FDA to raid Restaurants, Pharmacies checking them for violations : Vishwajit Rane"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<p><strong>Goa Khabar : Health Minister Vishwajit Rane on Saturday warned of extensive raids across the state on various restaurants compromising hygiene and pharmacies selling expired products.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Talking to reporters in Margao, Rane said that Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) officials have been conducting raids across the state on food products that are artificially ripened and sold.<\/p>\n<p>He said that eatables sold in the market are also scrutinized by FDA officials, who conduct random sampling. Rane said that the FDA will continue conducting extensive raids on all premises violating laws and causing harm to public health.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-100792\" src=\"https:\/\/goakhabar-com.preview.jikut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Z-1-291x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"291\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Z-1-291x300.jpg 291w, https:\/\/www.goakhabar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Z-1.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 291px) 100vw, 291px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>He stated that raids would be conducted on various restaurants that are not maintaining hygiene. \u201cFor example, the restaurant must serve RO purified water to customers,\u201d the minister said.<\/p>\n<p>Rane said that if any restaurant is found operating in an unhygienic condition, it will be sealed for the next six months.<\/p>\n<p>The minister added that some pharmacies selling expired medicines will also come under the FDA\u2019s scanner.
