Aids and appliances worth \u20b920 crores were distributed through a dedicated center set up at the event.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Pilgrims in need who arrived for a holy dip received immediate assistance, including wheelchairs, hearing aids, walking sticks, and other essential mobility and assistive devices\u2014all provided free of cost.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">The camp witnessed the presence of key dignitaries, including Guruprasad Pawaskar, State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Goa, and the Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Government of India S Govindraj.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Speaking about the initiative, State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Goa, Guruprasad Pawaskar said, \u201cThis camp embodies the true spirit of inclusivity and accessibility. Ensuring that individuals with disabilities and senior citizens too can participate fully in spiritual gatherings like the Maha Kumbh is a significant step towards empowerment. ALIMCO\u2019s efforts in making this possible are commendable. The initiative highlights ALIMCO\u2019s commitment to enhancing mobility and independence for persons with disabilities, and the elderly who need aid, ensuring they receive necessary support.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\"><strong>About ALIMCO<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO)\u00a0 under the Administrative Control of Ministry of Social Justice &amp; Empowerment, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities is 100% owned Govt. of India Central Public Sector Enterprise.
