<\/b>Goa Khabar : The popular Goa Triathlon will make a comeback at the three-day, miniOrange Aquamoga 2025 event being organised by Enduro Sports Goa at Miramar beach in Panaji between February 21-23 this year.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Goa Triathlon, which is an Olympic distance triathlon of 51.5 kms features a 1.5 km sea swim, a 40 km cycle ride and a 10 km run and was last organised at the Bambolim beach in 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking at the media conference held in Panaji on Thursday, Elias Patel, director, Enduro Sports Goa said, \u201cWe are very happy to revive our favourite race, The Goa Triathlon and introduce The Goa Aquathlon along with our oldest, most loved race, The Goa Swimathon at this three-day sports festival.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Elias, the miniOrange Aquamoga 2025 was designed to bring the open water sea swimming community together. \u201cThe event will feature participants from every corner of the globe and is fully recognised and supported by the Government of Goa\u201d Elias said.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Goa Swimathon was first held in 2011 with just 14 people. Today, the event attracts almost 1000 swimmers from across India. To be held on Feb 21 and Feb 22, it will feature 1 km, 2 km, 5 km and 10 km races as well as the 250 m splash and dash, un-timed fun swim.<\/span><\/p>\n

Likewise, the Goa Triathlon which was first held in 2014 with less than 100 triathletes, now attracts a wide variety of triathletes from India and abroad. \u201cThis event was the first, sea swimming triathlon in India and is also the first triathlon to feature a bike and run segment on traffic controlled roads,\u201d said Elias.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Goa Aquathlon, the latest entrant in the mix will feature a 1. 5 km sea swim followed by a 10 km run for athletes who prefer not to cycle.<\/span><\/p>\n

Michelle Gouveia, co-founder of Enduro Sports Goa who was also present at the media conference said, \u201cThe miniOrange Aquamoga 2025 will celebrate our heart and home, the ocean and the beautiful state of Goa.
