Gautam Bambolkar in the race for Art of Building Photographer of the year 2017, UK



 Goa:Gautam Bambolkar from Bandora, Ponda is in the final race for becoming Art of Building Photographer of the year 2017, United Kingdom. His stunning photograph ‘Man-Made Cave’ has reached the finals with 11 other entries from across the world. His work went through thorough judging process before making into the world’s best final 12. Thousands of entries were evaluated based on relevancy, composition, focus, lighting, creativity and photo description. The final winner will be chosen by 45,000 members worldwide of The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).

The Art of Building photography competition is an international showcase for the very best digital photography of the built environment. It is open to both professional and amateur photographers. His photo is being covered by international media like BBC and Guardian.

 He recently had won a medal each in Gold, Silver & Bronze at Moscow International Fotography awards 2017 and Bronze at The Paris Photography Prize 2017, France. For this, a congratulatory motion was passed in Goa Assembly in August 2017. His work has also won international photography competitions at Tokyo, USA, Germany and London.

 Gautam completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts (Applied Arts) from Goa College of Art in 2007.
