LoveGen presents their A/W collection with Niddhi Agerwal
Panaji: Think chic, young, stylish and comfortable and you have it- the
brand new Autumn Winter Collection from LoveGen. Young and spirited, this trendy
collection spells comfort and pizzazz. ‘Made with Love, Made in India’ is their motto,
with each stylish garment sourced, styled and stitched in the country.
Addressing the packed room at the Goa Marriot Resort and Spa, ahead of their show,
Bhavana Pandey and Dolly Sidhwani the ladies behind the popular fashion label, spoke to
the eagerly assembled press about what to expect from LoveGen’s exciting new line up of
designs, comprising four collections.
The athleisure line comprises of sweatshirts and joggers with catchy slogan tees which
can be easily paired with variety of bottoms and hoodie dresses with hints of bling for an
evening out. Colours comprise of vibrant pop shades in cheery yellow, reds, oranges and
bright pinks in fabrics like cottons, knits, viscose and jersey.
The CADET inspired line is one that is set to rock fashionistas. Camo printed jackets,
military bomber jackets, wide legged khaki trousers and jumpsuits, trendy overalls,
feminine slip dresses are some of the styles you can look forward to this line. Wear them
with boots or strappy sandals; the eclectic collection says it all.
A denim line adds an edge to the collection with a range of denim creations from maxis
and dressed to trousers and skirts, each creation being stylishly different.
The fourth is the party line, in tune with the season. Take your pick from a range of
flared, buttoned down, high waist trousers, tank tops, embellished slip dresses, sequined
body cons, lacy drop shoulder tops and suede fringed jackets for that perfect party attire.
Always in tune with trends, designer Bhavna Pandey says. – “Gone are the days when
looking good meant dressing-up. Dressing-down is the new thing for
our love generation.”
Dolly Sidwani quoted: "The aim is to encapsulate a sartorial balance between comfort
and chic- for those in their teens and tweens! So, if you are looking for comfortable
wear which keeps up with your style quotient, matches your spirit, this collection is
your way to go."
Nandita Mahtani said- "Ditch your regular LBD, 'slip' into LoveGen's
latest collection and own the room typifying effortless chic!"
This three day whirlwind event saw some offbeat and avant garde collection showcased
by designers like Anand Kabra, Rocky S, Akruti Sukruti, Pallavi Jaikishen, Anupama Dayal,
Ken Ferns and many more. The young designers like Sania Shroff, Nazia Rahman, Kshitij
Choudhary, Shazia Naik and Nazia Rahman from Bangladesh got a wonderful opportunity
to present their designs to the audience. The 5th edition of COMO India Beach Fashion
Week did not only see the top designers showcasing their creativity but it also saw the
top celebrities like Evelyn Sharma, Esha Gupta Nidhi Agarwal and many more gracing the
