Goa Khabar : United Boys of Dando Colva cruised to a 2-0 victory over St Anthony’s Club Colva in Monday’s GFA Third Division League clash at Dando ground, Benaulim. David Costa stole the show, netting both goals for UB Dando.
UB Dando dominated the first half, controlling possession and creating multiple chances. Costa broke the deadlock in the 24th minute, slotting home to give his side a deserved lead heading into halftime.
St Anthony’s pushed hard for an equalizer in the second half, but UB Dando’s defense held firm, denying them any clear chances. Costa sealed the win in the 70th minute, doubling the lead and securing all three points for his team.
Elsewhere, Assonora United Football Club powered past Siddeshwar Sports and Cultural Club with a commanding 4-1 win at Duler Stadium, Mapusa.
Assonora’s Pruthviraj Gosavi netted a treble while Jovian Conceicao found the back of the net once in their triumph. Siddheshwar pulled back through Nikhil Kholkar.
Meanwhile, Bhumika SC triumphed over ABC Arambol in a 5-3 thriller at Mandrem Panchayat ground. Durgesh Kilnekar scored twice, while Pranesh Asvenkar, Roger Dsouza, and Pratik Sawant each found the back of the net for Bhumika. Arambol responded through Manuel Rodrigues, Lynel Fernandes, and Jesus Desouza but couldn’t turn the tide.
In another encounter, FC Sanquelim and Sirsaim SEC played out a 2-2 draw at Quitula ground. Sanquelim’s Vicky Gawas and Rudresh Mandrekar netted one each, while Sirsaim’s Bhuvan Parwar bagged a brace to secure a point for his side.
