Goa Khabar : Goa has taken a significant step forward in advancing healthcare in the state with the deployment of an AI-powered cancer screening tool at 11 sites across the state. The tool Qure.ai is specifically designed to detect early-stage lung cancer in patients, enabling timely and effective treatment.
According to Health Minister Vishwajit Rane, the comprehensive deployment plan includes all district hospitals and select Primary Health centres (PHCs), making this crucial screening accessible to the entire population.
In a major boost to public health, the state government will offer low-dose CT scans free of cost to all identified high-risk patients within the specified age group. This initiative reinforces the government’s commitment to early cancer detection and treatment.
