Goa Khabar : Ucassaim Sports Club cruised to a 2-0 victory over Miracle Sports Club in the GFA Third Division League at Moira ground on Sunday. Goals from Harsh Parwar and Injmamul Khan sealed a comfortable win for Ucassaim.
From the opening whistle, Ucassaim asserted control in the midfield, relentlessly pushing forward. Their efforts were rewarded in the 8th minute when Jeniton D’silva whipped in a dangerous cross that was only partially cleared by the Miracle defense. The loose ball fell to Harsh Parwar at the edge of the box, who unleashed a brilliant half-volley to give Ucassaim an early advantage.
Miracle SC showed more intent in the second half, pushing hard for an equalizer. However, Ucassaim’s defense, anchored by captain Peter Menezes, remained impenetrable, turning away every Miracle attack.
The contest was put to rest in the 85th minute when Ucassaim struck again. Sanchet Gawade delivered a precise cross from the left, finding Injmamul Khan, who confidently finished to secure the 2-0 win.
In another fixture, Xetrapal Sports Club dominated ABC Arambol Sports Club with a commanding 4-0 victory at Mandrem panchayat ground. Kanaya Govenkar led the charge with a brace, while Raunak Toraskar and Sonu Mandrekar each added a goal to round off a comprehensive win for Xetrapal.
