Girish Sahasrabhojanee, construction manager of Ram Janmbhoomi temple to speak at ICG

Goa Khabar: Girish Sahasrabhojanee, the design and construction manager of the Ram Janmbhoomi temple will be speaking on the topic: “Building the Ram Janmbhoomi temple” at the International Centre Goa (ICG) on Friday, April 19 at 6pm. This event organised by the ICG is free and open to the public.

The media release issued by ICG stated that the construction work of the temple had involved several challenges which included designing the temple and choosing the ideal building materials. The temple which is being built on an eight acre plot is following the Nagara style of architecture and held up by 392 columns. The temple complex has a total of seven other temples.

Sahasrabhojanee, who will be throwing light on all these aspects in his talk, has a  masters in structural engineering from the prestigious, Indian institute of technology (IIT) Bombay. Originally hailing from Nagpur, Sahasrabhojanee has been living in Goa since 1993 and likes to call himself a Goenkar.
