The Children Football Festival-Govt. High School Gaval Khola team emerge Champion in U-12 Football Tournament
Goa Khabar:The Canacona Sports Academy’s CS & CC in association with GFDC Centre Devabag Govt. organized the Children Football Festival to promote local football talent in Canacona Taluka. On this occasion Under-12 Boys Football Tournament was organized by Canacona Sports & Cultural Club under the aegis of GFDC Devabag Centre.
High School Gaval Khola is the winners of the Canacona Taluka U-12 years Boys Football Tournament by defeating St. Anne’s Institute, Agonda on tie break as both the team were at tie with one goal each. St. Anne’s Institute’s Sachin Vishwas scored the first Goal at 14 minutes of the game in the first half & the score was 1-0 in favour of St. Anne’s Institute. In the second half Rohan Jitonkar of Govt H/s Gaval khola scored the equalizer at 37th Minute. The game was ended in a draw with 1-1 goal each.
In tie break GHS Gaval Khola’s Arush Zaraunkar shown superb Goal keeping skill by stopping both the spot kicks, while Sankalp & Pradumn of Govt. H/s scored each. The Final result was 3-2 in favour of Govt H/s Gaval Khola.
The Chief Guest for the prize presentation function was Shri Simon Rebello, councillor, CMC, Canacona. Also present were Shri Kishor Bandekar, APEO Canacona, Shri Janardhan Bhandari, President, Shri Sharendra Naik. VP, Sajjan Desai, Manesh N Gaonkar & Siddharth Gayak & Other Club Members

3. Fair Play Team:- St. Tereza of Jesus H/s.
4. Best Defender:- Pradumn Velip GHS Gaval Khola
5. Best Striker:- Sachin Vishwas St. Anne’s institut.
6. Best Goalkeeper:- Arush Zaraunkar GHS Gaval khola
7. Man of the Tournament:- Rohan Jitonkat.
8. Runners :– up St. Anne’s Institute Agonda
9. Winners:- Govt. H/s Gaval Khola.
