One arrested for theft of gold chain in hotel room
Goa Khabar:Anjuna police have arrested one person for committing theft in a hotel room.
As per SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi on 07.06.2023 a tourist couple who hails from Bengaluru Karnataka was on vacation trip to Goa and was staying in a rented service apartment name and styled as “Goaround Cozy Homes” at Anjuna, Bardez Goa reported that, some unknown accused person effected entry into their locked room while they were at Vagator Beach and committed theft of Gold Chain and other articles W/Rs. 1,20,350/- appx.
An FIR was registered and immediate investigation was taken up.
During the course of investigation Anjuna Police Station with their hard efforts cracked down the above theft case within 02 hours of registration of crime.
The accused namely Mr. Atul Kumar Bais s/o Ramsagar Bais, age 23 yrs, r/o Vill- Gadwani, Post- Sakariya, P.S. Chitrangi, Dist- Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh who was working as a Security Guard at the said hotel was identified and was apprehended while he was on verge to flee to his native place during which he conferred commission of crime and Stolen Golden Chain has been recovered at the instance of the accused person. Accused person has been arrested under sections 454, 380 IPC.
The team was led by PI Anjuna Shri. Prashal PN. Dessai, PSI Sahil V. Warang, Dhiraj Devidas, Police Constables Rama Parab, Satyendra Nasnodkar, Laxman Sawaldesai, Rupesh Azgaonkar developed the information and well executed leading to the arrest and recovery of stolen property W/Rs. 1,20,350/- appx. The case is under the overall supervision of Shri. Jivba G. Dalvi, SDPO Mapusa and Shri. Nidhin Valsan, IPS, SP (North), Porvorim.
